OperationHope is a non profit organization started by my wife and myself back in June of 2012. As we both sat in our first living room apartment after only 6 months of dating we knew this was something we wanted to create together. Kait and I were raised by our respected parents with similar values, morals and with the importance of giving back and helping others. And so together we took action and began OperationHope which continues to support the homeless throughout Vancouver and the lower mainland communities. Our generous donations from family, friends and friends of friends have continuously given us the opportunity to give back to those in need. Our donations consist of (but not limited to), all types of clothing, bedding and smaller household items which are provided at no cost to local shelters and those living on the streets. We continue to align ourselves with those who make a difference in their respected communities, along with researching where and who the items go to. This assures us that all items are being provided at no cost to those who are receiving them.

Simple acts of love, kindness and generosity that spread hope to those that need it most.

Together we can make a difference.

The Point Roberts Volunteer Firefighters Charitable Society was created by the members of Whatcom County Fire District 5, also known as Point Roberts Fire Department. With their goal of giving back and supporting the community. All of this fit well with the foundation of my values and morals, and so I felt a great longing to align myself with the Charitable Society. I made the decision to run for President and in the end partnered with another member to spread the load and do a Co-Presidency. It’s a honour and privilege to represent the Charitable Society. An opportunity to extend relationships previously established and to build new relationships with those in the community. Being a firefighter and engineer with the Whatcom County Fire District 5 (Point Roberts Fire Department) presents me with the opportunity to serve the community of Point Roberts. Being the Co-President of the Point Roberts Volunteer Firefighters Charitable Society opens up new doors to extend our support system to the community. Joining arms in the community to build strong ties moving into the future. I look forward to making an impact in this community and for the residents who reside here.
